If the app opens but cannot connect or load workspace data, run this checklist in order.

1. Re-run installer

curl -fsSL https://ctx.rs/install | sh
Relaunch the app after install completes.

2. Check basic environment assumptions

  • Your account can read/write required local paths.
  • No security tooling is blocking the app process.
  • Disk is not full.

3. Validate with a clean workspace open

Try opening a known-good repository and creating a simple task.

4. Escalate with useful details

When reporting an issue, include:
  • exact error text
  • OS and app version
  • what action triggered the failure
